Ankle Stability

Looking for more ankle stability ideas? Using a half foam roller is a great way to get your athletes working the smaller stabilizing muscles in their ankles and feet. The natural curved shape creates the instability and the gymnast has to correct it and hold it. If they find themselves too balanced, ask them to try to slightly shift their balance and force themselves to recover it. This will ensure that it is never a relaxed station and loses any opportunity for constant stability training.
