Trampoline Twisting Drill

Trampoline Twisting Drill: When you can’t initiate a twist from the surface you are leaving (either from your hands or feet), you have to learn to create twist in the air. How do you do it?
Easiest way is to take the outside arm and bring it across your chest. This drill is a simple way to practice and work the idea of creating twist by bringing the arm across the body versus initiating a turn directly from the contact.
This skill and concept is incredibly important for developing late phase twisting so that the athlete can prioritize punch, block, rotation when starting a skill and bring the twist into the equation later.
