Clearhips are challenging! The drop is the biggest factor for driving success of the skill. Most athletes want to keep their shoulders on top or in front of the bars too long, so the hips swing back to the bar and they lose all opportunity for speed and power. This drill is not easy and it requires work, but it is a great way to reinforce the lean of the shoulders off the back of the bar to allow the hips to have a free swing underneath.
